Learning Objectives
- Develop a better understanding of secondary headaches such as high and low pressure headaches, medication overuse headache, post-traumatic headaches, and other symptomatic headaches
- Diagnose and evaluate patients with common headache disorders including migraine, tension type headache, cluster headache and chronic daily headache
- Understand the basic mechanisms and pathophysiology that underlie headache disorders such as migraine, cluster headaches and hormonally triggered headaches
- Develop an appropriate, multidimensional treatment plan that includes abortive, preventive and bio-behavioural treatment strategies for patients with headache disorders
